Intensive english language training

Kazakhstan International School accepts students from many countries and understands that some of the children will not be fluent in English. Therefore we provide intensive English language training for students who need the extra help.

Intensive English language training classes are held after school each day and on the weekends for students who need the help. The English language classes are taught by native English language teachers and are available for children from Grades 1-8 in 2007-2008 and for Grades 1-12 in 2008-2009.

Our teachers will also be available for one hour at the end of each school day to provide extra help for students who are having trouble with the material being taught. It is our expectation that no child will be prevented from doing their best because of a lack of facility in English or a lack of understanding of the material being taught.

Parents will be able to request additional help for their children by contacting the Principal, Dr. Philip J. Spottswood.

Teachers may also recommend additional help for their students by requesting a meeting with the student and his/her parents. During this meeting a decision can be made that is in the best interests of your child.

Additional intensive English language training will be provided at cost. Costs for this additional training will depend upon the number of hours of class time needed to help each child become fluent in English sufficient to participate actively in all their classes!
