Kazakhstan International School (KIS) has been educating young people from around the world in a caring and inspirational environment since 2000. With classes from PreK to Grade 7 we have students and teachers from 24 different countries this year, speaking 19 different languages. In fact, half of our students and a third of our teachers speak two or more languages at home. Working and learning in English supports inquiry-based learning together in a warm and supportive atmosphere. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, KIS promotes new perspectives to broaden the minds of the children in our care and deepen their understanding and appreciation of the world around us that we share.
KIS develops the whole child through our programmes of intercultural awareness with an emphasis on communication. We are the perfect place for international and internationally-minded families who are bringing up their children to become global citizens.
KIS is an exciting blend of nationalities, cultures and ethnicities contributing to the life of our school. Students are encouraged to take action as a result of their learning at a personal level in their own lives, at home or in their school community through our Student Council. Every student is important to us. Our students are excited to come to school, motivated to question and to grow. They learn to solve problems and to collaborate, and, as they mature, to take increasing responsibility for their own learning. We want our young people to look back on their time at KIS as a time when their interest and talents were nurtured and grew and they become life-long learners who could touch the lives of those around them.
Please do make an appointment to come and look around our wonderful school and join our warm and welcoming community!
