Why choose a school that uses the International Baccalaureate Curriculum?
There are a number of very important reasons why you should seriously consider putting your child in a school that uses the International Baccalaureate Curriculum (IBC). Let me share with you some of the more important reasons
- The IBC has taken the very best components of curricula from the countries that produce the very best students (e.g. Singapore, China, India, England, etc.). They then put together an "international curriculum" that uses the strengths of these various national curricula, adding to it other critical emphases as regards to proficiency in more than one language, multi-cultural diversity, and other skills necessary to be a successful knowledge worker and leader in the 21st century.
- The reality is that most of us will move two or three times during the period when our children are being educated. Usually this means having your children change not only countries, schools, teachers and friends, but it also means changing the curriculum of instruction. This is NOT the case with the IBC, as you can find international schools in almost every major city in the world that use this curriculum.
- The IBC provides a rigorous, in-depth education in math, science, information technology, language, and other relevant knowledge skills that are critically necessary to be successful in the "flat" world¹ of the 21st Century.
- Students graduating with an International Baccalaureate Diploma are accepted at the best colleges and universities all over the world.
