Employment opportunities at KIS¹

Kazakhstan International School seeks to employ the very best teachers. Our “Vision” is to be the very best international school in Central Asia. Our “Mission” is to prepare our students to be morally sound, socially skilled knowledge workers with all the 21st century skills necessary to be leaders in industry, government, and the social services.

We are using the very best international k-12 curriculum, the International Baccalaureate Curriculum, and provide training for teachers who have not used this curriculum before. We seek to employ native English speaking teachers or others who are fluent in English and are experts in their field of study.

We use the team teaching approach for grades 1-5 and for grades 1-8. We will also use the team teaching approach for grades 9-12, but we will not be opening this part of the school until 2008-2009 school year.

Our students and teachers come from more than 30 countries, and we pride ourselves in being a multi-cultural community that works cooperatively in a continuous learning community.

Pay is based on training, credentials, and experience. For teachers coming from overseas, we pay for one round trip ticket to your home each year. Contracts are for 10 months a year with a two month vacation in the summer. All other Kazakhstan school holidays are also given. Contracts are from September 1st through June 30th of each school year.
