

The role of the Advisory Board is to ensure the fulfillment of the mission, vision, and objectives of KIS. The Advisory Board also assists with the necessary fundraising development critical to promoting the goals and expansion of KIS. Advisory Board members serve as goodwill ambassadors, representing KIS before key constituents, such as prospective students and donors, as well as the community at large. The KIS Advisory Board does not have any authority or legal responsibility for the management or development of the school.
The role of the KIS Advisory Board is to provide advice, counsel, and critical-friendship to the Board of Directors as well as the KIS Senior Management Team.
This advice includes review of and comments on:
The Advisory Board will also provide advice on strategic academic relationships and partnerships (i.e. Association of International Universities and Schools in Kazakhstan, AIUSK) useful to further the overall objectives of KIS.
The KIS Advisory Board may provide advice on the appointment of senior staff within KIS, or on any other academic matter raised by the Senior Management Team of KIS.
The Advisory Board is not ultimately accountable for any aspect of KIS curriculum and operation, all of which are the responsibility of the paid staff of KIS.
